New Canada Road Context Sensitive Solutions (Lakeland, TN)

PHD served as Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) Project Manager for New Canada Road, a 2.3-mile, 4-lane roadway with median, bike and pedestrian facilities.  PHD provided the following services as a subconsultant to Fisher & Arnold:

  • Met with citizen group monthly to make decisions about road alignment, typical sections, etc.
  • Facilitated all citizen group meetings, made presentations regarding process, schedule, etc.
  • Developed questionnaires for public input, and Conducted Public Meetings to solicit input
  • Compiled information received from the public in an organized and relevant manner for distribution to the designers/client and citizen group for use in development of alternatives
  • Achieved consensus for selection of the final alternative
